Description: This is a lovely cut glass "Sweet Pea Vase" Flared top vase with corset shapeMeasures: 6" tall by 6" wide top rim. base is 3-3/4" wide. This is from the American Brilliant period (1870 to 1920's). It is genuine from the era...This was cut by Hawkes in the "Chippendale" pattern. Pattern is Seen in the Glass of Corning Book by Spillman/Farrar on pg .92.Gorgeous border of strawberry diamond and punty cuts around top, followed by the engraving, followed by flutes & prism notching around the lower half..Condition: It is over 100 years old. It has the appropriate scratches on bottom from age which is typical patina the days. No chips, nips or cracks found.
