Description: This is a lot of two Lewis First American Editions: Surprised By Joy and Letters to an American Lady. Surprised By Joy is a hardcover with dustjacket apparent first American Edition of CS Lewis' autobiographical conversion story. This is from a church library with library call number label on spine of dustjacket and a donor's inscription on front flyleaf, some library stamps from the church and a card pocket pasted inside (with no names on the card, so it seems like no one checked it out?). The corners of the dustjacket are bumped and it has signs of having been taped onto the book in the distant past and a short tear on the back among other minor condition problems. Letters to an American Lady is a hardcover with dustjacket published by Eerdmann's in 1967. Has very similar signs of having been a church library book. You will receive both of these books by C.S. Lewis for your collection and reading enjoyment!
