Description: SUMMER AND SMOKE, Herald (Advertising Flyer), Tour, Wilbur Theatre, Boston, MA, 1949. The Tennessee Williams play opened in NYC on 10/06/48 and ran for 102 performances. The front features artwork, critic's quote, some cast and production credits, opening date, performance schedule and theatre credit. The back contains a photo of Tennessee Williams and critics' quotes. The cast includes Tod Andrews and Katharine Balfour. Directed by Margo Jones. This is NOT a reproduction!! Heralds are advertising flyers that are placed at theatres and sometimes included in Playbills and programs. Sizes vary but most of the older ones are 6 x 9 1/2 inches. Brochure style heralds can be one sheet or multi folds and measure about 3 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. Condition is near excellent with minor wear. International purchases are subject to a $2.00 handling fee. CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. IMAGES: I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
