Description: A really nice example of Hohner’s Steinberger-licensed B2B. Clean and set with low action. This is the ultimate travel bass. It’d fit in a rifle bag and weighs only 6 lbs 8 oz. There are a couple of minor issues like some tiny initials engraved inconspicuously engraved in the bridge, the split-coil pickup cover has a crack that doesn’t affect operation at all and a few light marks here and there. It’s really in remarkable condition overall for a bass that’s probably from the late ‘80s. It sounds fantastic: punchy and versatile. I’ve brought it to a local luthier to have it checked out and he lowered the action per my request and gave it the clean bill of health. Some fret wear, but even with this low action I get clean notes. He mentioned that there is plenty of life left in the frets as well. There are recently installed D’Addario double ball strings on now that have been wiped down after each play and I have a backup set of heavier gauge strings that will come with this.
