Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with No. 711 last word indicator

Description: Here is a Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with a Starrett No. 711 last word indicator. These tools been used so you will find some cosmetic imperfections on them but nothing that will effect thier usefulness. I point out some of these imperfections in the last three photos. The previous owner scribed on the backside of this indicator, on the post, and on the side of the magnet. I camouflaged the side of the magnet with a black paint marker. Please don't let these flaws detract from what is otherwise a very nice used set of precision tools. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface. It is great for getting into those tight places those larger magnetic bases just won't fit in. The fine adjustment knob works great and helps make setting up this indicator a breeze. The Starrett No. 711 last word indicator is also in good used condition. The needle moves easily in both directions and always returns to "0". Smooth!!
