Description: A very unique, small, water color painting at 10" hi x 14" wide.. painted by Salvador Dali. Titled 'Pallas flight from Athena'... Beautiful colors. Bought from Morton Goldbergs Auction Exchange on Magazine street, in the early 1980's. The auction program gave an 'attributed to' rating, as there was no clear cut provenance offered with the sale of the items, by renowned artists. The lot was offered up as belonging to the estate of a Spanish Consulate..(In New Orleans) I never framed it. The piece sat for over 40 years between acid free press board; Along with a mix of other small art works, bought at auctions in the US and abroad. As with a great deal of Dalis' work, it has remarkable coloration. Amazing views, depending on the light cast and the angle of viewing the scene. The colors and detail in this piece are extraordinary. An unobtrusive, colorful blend for anyones art collection. $2500... for small, original Dali.
