FYI, all 4 of the head covers in this ad are all made by "Here's Fred"(all with Here's Fred brand tags) -- made in Jacksonville FL USA. The "Herby Husker" logo that evolved out of Nebraska's trip to the Cotton Bowl in 1974.Artist Dirk West of Lubbock, Texas designed a Cornhusker cartoon for the Bottom Bowl press headquarters that caught the eye of Husker SID Don Bryant. Later Bryant contacted West for permission to use the cartoon and West expressed a desire to refine his original cartoon and was commissioned to draw an original Cornhusker cartoon character who then served as a Mascot for all Husker's men teams.
