Description: Description SCHUMANN: Piano Quartet & Quintet Isabelle Faust Alexander Melnikov SACD JAPAN Product introduction Schumann by the best members. Due to the meticulous DSD mastering, The tones of all the instruments resonate richer and deeper. Schumann's piano quartet and quintet recordings by the best members are now available on SACD single layer. High-resolution sound sources were licensed from Harmonia Mundi, and the DSD mastering was done with great care under the technical supervision of Ikuo Tsunoda. For mastering, King Sekiguchidai Studio's unique high-quality equipment was used, and the master clock generator was MUTEC's REF10 SE120. The atmosphere at the beginning of the quartet, where you wonder what is going to happen, gives you a surprising sense of richness. The tones of each instrument played by the masters also stand out more. The members are Faust, the world's best violinist, Schreiber, a virtuoso who is also a founding member of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Tamestit, the world's best viola player who has deep ties to Japan as the music director of Viola Space, Marin Marais, a contemporary, Kjeras, who can play any genre with miraculous perfection and sharpness, and Melnikov, who is large-scale and plays various instruments with miraculous perfection (Schreiber is in the quintet). It is difficult to find a better member. Each string instrument sings a distinct song, but they blend together beautifully. Melnikov's fortepiano, which sings freely while being in the shade and in the sun, pierces through it, leading the whole in a romantic direction, and the overall balance is extremely good. This is "chamber music by virtuosos" realized in the best way. You can enjoy the performance, which makes it a shame to let each sound pass by, with a richer spread thanks to the special DSD mastering.
