Description: “Santa’s Visit” was designed by artist, and Old World Christmas co-owner, E.M. Merck. It was available only at special Old World Christmas Events during the 1996 Holiday Season. It is a limited edition piece - produced specifically for 1996. The intricate detail and original design of this ornament made it the collector’s choice of 1996. Made in Germany for Old World Christmas by the skilled artisans of Inge-Glas, it is signed on the bottom by E.M. Merck. This festive glass collectible was carefully mouth blown, one at a time, into a finely crafted porcelain mold. After the inside was coated with a wash of silver for reflection, it was then hand-painted with brightly colored lacquers. After the ornament stem is snipped, the trademark Star Cap is attached…an heirloom is born! It took approximately seven days to create each one of these magical ornaments.Long retired, Special Event Piece #1561, “Santa’s Visit" measures 5”. Molded into the back of the ornament is “1996” the commemorative year, and it is signed on the bottom. I will require detailed pictures of the item, box, shipping materials, and mailing label before a claim can be filed/settled.
