History of the regiment In 1806, under the patronage of Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich, in Strelna near St. Petersburg, the Imperial Militia Battalion, consisting of five infantry companies and an artillery half-company, was formed from servants and craftsmen of country palace estates, mainly Finns by nationality. was named a battalion of the Finnish Guard, and on January 22, 1808, for excellent participation in the war with France in 1807, it was assigned to the guard and named the Life Guards battalion of the Imperial Militia, in 1811 it was reorganized into a regiment. Granted on December 6, 1831. 4. Badges on headdresses with the inscription: “For Philippopolis on January 5, 1878.” Granted on April 17, 1878. Disbanded in 1918. Revived in the Don Army. Of the regiment's officers, 27 people took part in the reconstruction of the regiment on the Don. He was part of the 2nd Don Rifle Brigade. On October 5, 1919, there were 828 bayonets with 45 machine guns. In the Russian Army from 08.1920 he formed a company in the 2nd battalion of the Consolidated Guards Infantry Regiment.
