CD GRADING SCALE (7/2017) Mint (M) … Seldom used grade, especially for used discs, for CDs that are absolutely perfect but not necessarily sealed. Near Mint (NM)… This is the highest grade I will generally give. This will be a nearly perfect record that will show no obvious signs of wear other than maybe a slight defect. Very Good + (VG+)… Excellent disc will show only very minor defects and generally not more than one or two. This is still a very nice CD that will play perfectly. Only minor flaws allowed. Very Good (VG) … disc will show some signs of use or handling. Expect to see small defects like light scuffing, light scratches, disc will still play well without noise. Very Good- (VG-) … disc will have a little heavier wear . Good (G) … Moving to the lower end quality wise and the defects will be more prominent or there may be multiple defects. Note: Case defects will be noted but are not considered when grading the disc.
