I have spent much effort recording and editing setups of custom samples just for the Roland SPD-S. The sounds it comes with from the factory are just ok, but with all the work I have done, it truly sounds incredible! The compact flash card contains over 30 custom sound sets including: Congas, Bongos, Timbales, Tablas, Dholak, Ashiko, Dumbek, Djembe, Bohdran, Frame drum, Tahitian log drum, Special effects, 6 Drum kits with many extra snare & kick samples, some musical loops, and more. Not all 512 meg compact flash cards will work in the SPD-S for some reason, This one will! A compilation of percussion sounds like no other, all in usable and playable setups. The pedal and external trigger inputs are programmed into each setup, as well as effects. I think it will give you an amazing head start. Many people have purchased them and everyone loves them.
