Description: Rest Area Sign 18" This is a real highway sign thick (.080) gauge aluminum. It has white 3M High Intensity Prismatic reflective sheeting and blue EC film over that. It has pre-punched mounting holes in the aluminum. This sign is 18” square and is a nice size to display. This sign, it is made to current MUTCD standards. I make road signs for a living, this is exactly what I sell to DOT contractors. This sign has 3M HIP sheeting which is currently the minimum reflective for highway use.Here comes the small print. These signs are made for construction purposes and not Art/Decoration/etc. They are made by applying the reflective sheeting to the aluminum and then the black vinyl is laid over the top of that. They can and probably will have small blemishes, these are to be expected. These are not screen printed like the cute little tin signs you see in tourist traps, these are the real deal.
