As was the case in WWII, reports from the field indicated that the paper cased rounds were subject to moisture contamination and excessive loading wear, rendering them unserviceable in short order. In late 1963, commercial plastic cased No. 00 Buckshot shells were procured and shipped to Vietnam, having been designated the XM162. Contract procurement from several manufacturers of the XM162 shotgun shell continued through the early 1970s. Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for two unassembled cartons with a Remington Arms 00 Buck Plastic Shells XM162 label. The lot numbers are hand stamped on the labels prior to shipping, either matching my original boxes, or if you prefer, I can match the lot number of a spam can or crate that you may have. The cartons will be shipped flat, with assembly instructions. I had a lot of these made, so if you want multiple sets, just change the auction quantity before you click on the "Buy It Now" button.
