Rare Original LIONEL #700KW 700 K W Assembly Instruction Booklet Scarce

Description: This rare and original Lionel #700KW 700 K W Assembly Instruction Booklet is a must-have for any serious collector of model railroad memorabilia. The booklet provides detailed and accurate instructions for assembling the iconic Lionel 700 Hudson type 4-6-4 scale model locomotive O gauge train. I have talked and called a few experts in the prewar Lionel field and they all believe this to be original. It passes my personal tests. It has the old Feel - It’s heavier older paper and has a musky smell to it. The pictures are dot matrix printed and not modern laser jet print. There are no reproduction or reprint marks anywhere on the piece. The inside cover has the correct markings and form number with 7-38 and printed in US of America. (Reprints repros were clearly largely marked above this as being reproduction or replica). This was with a large collection of original prewar trains and In a binder as provenance. It appears to have had some water damage and the back bottom of the cover was peeled off of another instruction manual which cause it to rip off. Front and back covers have significant damage as seen in the pictures. The two staples are period correct and correctly set the binding between pages 11 and 12 as seen in the pictures. The inside staples do show some rust from moisture and age. There are a lot of creases and bends to this. It was clearly used probably to assemble a Hudson kit years ago. The pages do not have any oxidation or yellowing due to being stored in a binder stacked within other instruction sheets and papers.
