"History of my Search for this RARITY" I had sought after for Sangamo Special 17S 23J "MARKED 60 hours" for over 10 years and finally found one. It was not working when I bought it and I had it serviced by 2 different watchmakers as broken parts (balance staff and roller jewel) on these are extremely hard to find, and the first watchmaker could not locate the correct parts. Finally, another watchmaker was able to find the correct parts and have it clean and serviced and the watch was working. But, when it was shipped back to me, postal workers managed to damaged the balance staff and my watchmaker had to get another part that took over 2 months to locate and it is now running as shown in the video and the time graph. Technically, this watch was serviced 3 times by 2 different watchmakers. This serial number is in the final run of 1000 movements. MINT DIAL: I located a mint Sangamo Special 17S, 23J dial, and it is absolutely impeccable. At first glance, it looks so new that one might think it is a replica. I assure you, IT IS NOT. It is a Genuine Sangamo Special Porcelain dial in MINT condition. Hands: Near Mint Hour and Minute Hands Case: S/N - 8528643. Wadsworth Model 193, "Sangamo Special" 17S 14K White Gold Filled case in excellent condition. Glass crystal. NOTE ON THE CASE: Be careful threading the covers. Both front and back covers can be closed properly. The back over is a little challenging to line up correctly and it will line up correctly as shown in the pictures. When you receive the watch, both front and back covers are closed correctly as shown.
