Description: Up for sale is an extremely rare antique solid cast iron figural doorstop.The stop is in the form of a man swinging a hatchet over his head in front of a large tree.He stands on a routed half circle base with lettering on the front and a hallmark on the back that are a bit illegible from age.It's made of very thick iron, is extremely heavy, and has acquired a lovely patina from age.The casting is a rare form, is in good antique condition, and measures 15 1/2 inches tall by 10 1/2 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches back to front.There is a loss by the side of the head as seen in last photo.
