Description: Excellent condition considering its age. Larger size hinged antique Gold filled signed BSF for Black Starr & Frost. It looks like an early piece. The company was marking pieces BSF as early as 1876. Considered a very fine maker of jewelry It is monogrammed with AMN There are signs of surface wear but nothing that would be out of the ordinary for a piece of this age. The gold filled amount is not marked but it must be pretty high considering the high end maker and that base metals are not showing through aside from by the locking mechanism and inside the hinge. It’s 1/2 inch wide In the picture on my wrist, my wrist measurement is about 6.5 inches so this bangle has lots of space and wiggle room for larger wrists. The catch works well. The tiny release button can be tricky to press because it’s so small but it works. Very rare piece by this maker. I searched and searched online and couldn’t find another bangle by BSF.
