Description: Rare Antique Crown Devon Jug & BowlSet. The Crown Devon journey began in 1870.The Crown Devon backstamp started to appear on wares around 1880. This large bowl and pitcher originates from England. This lovely Crown Fieldings pattern pitcher (jug) and bowl set has a lovely shaped pitcher and is decorated in flowers, leaves and birds. I did research and it was quite confusing to find year of orgin. I found several similar looks but not this exact pattern. I just know it’s a interesting piece. I purchased this at a on-line auction and just knew it was something special. I personally thought it was from a different era until I started the search after I actually had it in hand. It’s pretty and in good condition although it does have some small nicks and 1 small crack as seen in photos. It is solid and heavy and I will package very carefully. One of the sites called a very similar look Edwardian circa 1909 , and another similar look was 1930’s Antique, and yet another stated it is a rare antique 1912-1916. Please note: I have the shipping set on calculating according to destination/weight and the weight is approximately 11 lbs. and certainly the further away the higher is the shipping cost. Thanks for browsing and feel free to reach out if any questions.
