Description: For your consideration is this rare 1963 color pictorial map of New York City by Hermann Bollmann with 48 page multi-lingual guide book. The axonometric or "birds eye view" map measures approximately 42.75" x 33.50" using a technique called Vogelschaukarten. Using thousands of arial and ground photos, Bollmann and his team used this technique and photographic information to hand draw the skyscrapers/city without obscuring any part so the reader could see all details of the city.
