Description: Very rare art deco, 1920s, original, German porcelain, Pierrot & Pierrette powder puff stand. The pierrette ballerina wears a swans down powder puff as her skirt, and she sits in the porcelain dish. The pierrot and the pierrette are very nicely painted with a high gloss finish. Their costumes are classic art deco with big ruffled collars, cuffs, skull caps and kiss curls. The are done in black and white with lush color on the cheeks and colored eyes. The stand is solid and a nice heavy weight. I am attributing this German porcelain set to Dressel & Kister Company, and the numbers marked on the bottom of the stand are in the same number series as a Dressel & Kister Co. powder puff stand that sold at Theriault's auctions for 3,000.00.
