Description: Here is an original print from the1835 circa. of the ballad The Female Sailor Anne Jane Thornton Sailor girl from England posed as a boy to go to sea, in pursuit of a lover who came to America, in hopes of reuniting with him. The print is as is as seen. I believe the printing was done in Providence Rhode Island. Brown University has another original in their library but that is the only other one that I have encountered. Please make reasonable offers if you are interested. I have seen articles and drawings from this same female sailor go for this amount and more. If I am off, I will be happy to lower the price as I honestly don't know the exact CMV (current market value)
