Description: This new vintage pocket protector was issued by Northwest Airlines to be worn on uniforms. The 1969 NWA LOGO is at the top of this nice piece. It measures 5 1/2" inches long and 3 1/2" inch in width. Northwest Airlines gave a few of these to the NWA History Centre after the merger with Delta. It is brand new unused. It is now offered by the NWA HISTORY CENTRE. The NWA HISTORY CENTRE (a non profit organization) is located in Bloomington, Mn. They have preserved NWA memorbillia and display it in their museum. The NWA HISTORY CENTRE has many historical items as far back as Oct.1, 1926 when NORTHWEST AIRLINES was founded by Col. Louis H. Brittin. The NWA NISTORY CENTRE also has many items from North Central, Republic, Hughs Air West and Southern (which were all combined to form Northwest Airlines). The History Centre museum occasionally receives duplicate historical items and items relating to other airlines. These items have been donated to the NWA History Centre Museum from Northwest Airlines, estates, airline collectors and retired employees, so here is a chance to own a piece of AIRLINE HISTORY. A PERFECT GIFT FOR MEN OR WOMEN WHO COLLECT AIRLINE MEMORBILLIA or are employed by an airline. Northwest is no longer in business and this item is older than 10 years old and is not a part of any current airline uniform. It is no longer used by the airline.
