Description: Pair of solid silver double struck Fiddle, Thread and Shell sugar tongs by renowned maker George W Adams of Chawner & Co. Very good condition - one 2mm 'nick' to the outside of the bowl of one side, but this has not marked the inside of the bowl at all. I have shown this in close up on one image, which makes it look worse than it is. The photo next to this shows it again, and puts it in perspective with the tongs. Excellent hallmarks and makers marks. No engraving and no evidence of erasure. Maker: George W Adams Date: London 1858 Weight: 61.6 grams Size: 145 mm in length I offer combined postage for multiple purchases and only charge the postage fees that I have to pay Royal Mail.
