Description: A nice, 1970s-period embroidered patch with Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club design, the unofficial logo of the US Seventh Fleet during the Vietnam War. Based on style and construction, I believe this is a period patch, probably done stateside for veterans in the mid or late 1970s. Fully-embroidered design with merrowed edge, but NOT modern production. The patch is thinner than currently made insignia and has a loose weave mesh on the back side.
