Description: The Ozark Uplift Frisco Line by Walter B. Stevens was produced by Tiernan Printing Co. for the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad with a copyright of 1900 by Bryan Snyder, General Passenger Agent, St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad. This book has a soft brown cover with red lettering. There is some staining and wear on the cover and interior pages (see photos). It measures 5.5" x 8.5" and contains 71 pages. The book holds wonderful photographs of areas in the Ozarks, along with statistical plates and reproduced articles from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch 1899. The Ozark Uplift became a means of promoting areas in SW Missouri and NW Arkansas, speaking of the opportunity for zinc mining in the area.
