Omar Godínez Lazo, a graduate in drawing and painting from the Provincial School of Art San Alejandro at the Upper Secondary level in Havana, Cuba and from the State Institute of Moscow "VI Surikov" in graphic arts, obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree (Art Critic). He is a member of the International Association of Artists of UNESCO, a member of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. He served as curator of the Ibero-American Culture Festival in Moscow (2000-2003) and is an Honorary Member of the Academy of Arts of Russia. He has participated in some international fairs, including Euroart-2000 in Spain and Art Prague-2015 in the Czech Republic. According to the artist himself, his work is integrated into the intuition of an unrevealed reality, without directions that pigeonhole him into artistic trends or currents, only intuition and aesthetic impact are valuable for his creative judgment. The Cuban painter Omar Godínez, who resides in Russia, was awarded the title of Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. Curador del Festival de la Cultura Iberoamericana de Moscú (2000-2003) Miembro de Honor de la Academia de Artes de Rusia. Ha participado en las Ferias Internacionales alguna de ellas, Euroart-2000 en España y Art Prague-2015 en la República Checa. Su obra a decir del propio artista se integra a la intuición de una realidad no revelada, sin rumbos que le encasillen en tendencias o corrientes artísticas, solo la intuición y el impacto estético son valiosos para su juicio creativo.
