Description: This is a nice set of two decorative figural metal bookends. The items are American in origin and vintage (see photos). The bookends have a literary them and depict Dante and Beatrice (see photos). The bookends have a nice Mission Arts & Crafts Period style (see photos). The items are not marked by a maker (see photos). The bookends are made of a cast white metal Spelter with a bronze tone finish (see photos). The items are from an estate liquidation. Each bookend measures about 6.25 inches high, and each is about 5.75 inches wide at the base. Dante retains the felt on the underside of the base, and the Beatrice bookend does not. The bookends have some scuffs, finish losses and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
