Description: NICE Vintage PHILIPS 685 Turntable Record Player+Otrofon Omega Cartridge *TESTED Nice vintage used condition! The dust cover has a number of light to moderate scratches (but no cracks) and there is some scuffing of the paint on the base, especially the front corners where the dust cover rubbed off paint when the dust cover bumpers disintegrated. Also paint wear at the front near the controls. The dust cover bumpers have been replaced with non-marring polymer replacements. The stylus is still in good condition (see photograph) and sounds great! Has no trouble holding RPM at both speeds (see screen shot). Original price in 1980 was $140, but could be gotten be on sale for $99, making it $390 in inflation-adjusted modern dollars! A very solid, simple turntable with great sound.
