TCB is one of the best repro brands out there today, slinging straight heat release after release outta Okayama, Japan. These guys go through painstaking efforts to rebuild denim from the collector's archive exactly as it was made in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. This one is based on the Levi's 505 regular straight fit that has a medium-high rise and flattering straight leg with a subtle taper below the knee - it's a cut that works on literally everyone and is a bit underrated compared to the 501. The fabric is 12oz. black yarns used for both the warps and the wefts. Using No. 7 warp thread and No. 9 weft thread, mainly made of American cotton, the yarn with natural unevenness is sulfur dyed/ rope-dyed to give it a vintage-like black finish. Since it is rope-dyed, it will fade vertically, so you can enjoy the fade in black jeans over time. Made in Japan. MSRP $181. Note on sizing - these are Japanese sizing with zero vanity sizing.
