Description: Complete, retipped, upgraded, tested and warranted rare Monster Cable Alpha 2 low output moving coil cartridge. Cartridge is 100% functional and sounds incredible. This is one of the classic high end moving coil cartridges from the 1980s designed and manufactured by what is now known as ZYX. This is a premium cartridge that has received great reviews. This cartridge has been retipped with the cantilever and diamond as described and is guaranteed to be as good or better than new. Cosmetically, there are many imperfections as can be seen in the photos. This cartridge spent a good amount of time in a box of phonograph odds and ends before being put back into service by myself. (Now 0.28mm solid ruby) Recommended Load Impedance: 30 ohms (optimum) to 80 ohms. Internal Impedance: 4 ohms. Compliance at 11 Hz, 70° F: 15 x 10^-6 cm/dyne. Output Voltage at 1 kHz, 5 cm/S: 0.3 mV.
