These are getting harder and harder to find, and you can keep them in your typewriter all the time, just re-spool fresh ribbon onto them as needed. Plastic spools won't give your typewriter the look it was meant to have. * Compatible with early LC Smith and Smith-Corona full size desktop manual typewriters (won't fit portable models).
