This unit is made in Troy, Ohio USA. It will fit other plastic mail boxes as shown if it has that approx. 1" thick area at the top, when your mailbox door is opened, it pushes the ball and spring out of its latch and sticks up higher than the box. To reset, place the spring back in the latch with the ball touching the door. The bright orange ball can easily be seen at distances greater than 150 ft. It is attached to your mail box using the provided self tapping screws.
