Description: LONGABERGER BASKET WOVEN MEMORIES WITH HARD LINER, 2000. This auction is for a Longaberger basket that was created in 2000. The rectangular basket has two swivel handles, a hard liner and is signed/dated. It measures 9 ½” long x 6” wide x 4” high and weighs a little under 11 ounces. On the bottom is the Maker’s Mark of Longaberger as well as a signature. The basket making tradition of the Longabergers dates back to the turn of the century when the family weaved baskets in Dresden. David Longaberger revitalized the handcrafting tradition in American when he founded the Longaberger Company in 1973. The basket and liner is very good condition. (SEE IMAGES).
