Description: Replace your crumbling Lionel Prewar locomotive harness. Kit fits any round cab 38 body style 0-4-0 non-super motor 1911-38-50-53. All new period correct 18 gauge solid core black cloth wrapped vinyl insulated wire. Custom harness comes with 14 ohm headlamp dropping resister and cab disconnect. Pre-cut lengths with attached wire lugs. Includes new field winding lead wire and spare lug with optional replacement insulation for your existing lead wire. Easily remove your cab completely from engine frame for servicing motor. If you would like to try and save your existing field lead wire extension I have included a piece of empty vinyl insulation. Installation tips: Pre-thread pickup shoe screw in wire lug for easier installation. Remove dry rotted field lead wire insulation by rolling between fingers and straighten exposed wire. Insert into provided vinyl insulation, holding lead wire closely to the feeding end gently screw on the insulation. Occasionally stretching insulation toward the end will ease installation.
