Description: Extra Large Primitive Hand carved Dough Bowl. Long Wooden Hand Hewn, Carved Wood Trencher. The thing that sets our bowls apart is the FINISH. It's not a "dull wood" finish. We have a special bees wax aging finish that we apply to all of our bowls. It takes an already distressed bowl and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive. It takes Rick about a WEEK to finish a big piece like this. EACH of our bowls are Completely Unique. You can see the wonderful rasp marks in the wood from the carving process. Rick leaves those in there to attest to the authenticity of the hand hewn process. Beautiful finish has been repeatedly finished and distressed with our special bees wax to achieve a wonderful Aged look. And BECAUSE of the distressing/waxing process these are NOT suitable for rolling dough or storing raw foods (but great for foods with peels and shells OR other holiday decorations).
