Description: This auction is for a large Chinese Canton Export blue & white turkey platter decorated with a water edge landscape that features pavilions/temples nesting under tall trees overlooking an expansive river with a transport boat and a pair of swallows hovering above it and framed with a broad border of fruiting foliage punctuated with stylized butterfly & ju-e head designs. The unglazed bottom unmarked but of 18th - 19th C. period. Dimensions: 17.75" L x 14.5" W x 1.625 H. Net weight: 5 pounds 10 ounces. Condition: a visible crack line running from rim toward cravetto associated with old repairs both on front & back (please peruse photo # 3 & 7 with remarks), otherwise, in very good used condition overall.
