Description: LARGE 21” VINTAGE CHINESE SHIWAN POTTERY GUANDI GOD OF WAR FIGURINE You are being offered a very large and heavy Vintage Chinese Shiwan or Shekwan Stoneware Figurine with a Sang de Boeuf or Oxblood Red Glaze and modeled as Guandi, the Chinese Legendary God of War. The Figurine isn’t signed and it doesn’t have any identifying markings; but we are quite certain it was Hand Made and Hand Painted by a Master Craftsman in the Shiwan Artistic Ceramic Factory in the Shiwanzhen Subdistrict of Foshan City during the People’s Republic Period (Post-1949). The Figurine stands 20¾ inches high and measures approximately 10½ inches from side-to-side and 10¼ inches from front-to-back. The Figurine is also in Very Good to Excellent Condition, without any chips, cracks, scratches or losses. Please refer to the photographs on the left for further details.
