The shoes on this listing feature the latter. Clarino synthetic leather was invented to duplicate the complex structure of natural leather and is lightweight, soft, supple, durable, breathable, weather-resistant and washable. CX176 is built on Lake's Sport last. This last is wider and taller than most other shoes in the market, and yet it even offers a wide-width option (see my other listings). The pair for sale here is brand-new – they were never worn. LASTCX/TX Sport Last - The higher cadence & longer ride times which characterize road cycling require excellent foot control to avoid hot-spots & numbness. With a much closer fit than any of Lake's off-road lasts, the Sport last cradles the foot securely to prevent any unwanted movement. This last features a precisely fitted toe-box, high arch & mid width ball girth. OUTSOLE Lake Competition Fiberglass-injected nylon outsole - 3 hole cleat pattern for Shimano/Look/Time, etc. It's also compatible with a Wahoo SPEEDPLAY cleat with an adapter. *Note that cleats are not included in the sale. UPPER Clarino microfiber and mesh. It's much lighter than the leather version of CX176 while it retains the superior fit feel of natural leather. It's equipped with a BOA closure system; which has been officially declared as the cycling shoe closure of choice. CLOSURE Side-mounted L6 BOA push/pull lacing system with power strap in the forefoot. SIZING Please consult the size guide on Lake’s website prior to the purchase, if you’re not sure about an appropriate size for your feet.
