This pair appears to have been vermeiled at one point and it has mostly been polished off. There is evidence of vermeil throughout. This pair has been repaired many times throughout the years with lead soldier most apparent in the bands of flowers that twist around the columns. There is some separation on both sticks at the flower twists as pictured. The bobeches are missing. There are many small scattered dents throughout. This pair exhibits use with scratches, marks, and tarnishing commensurate with age. There is a monogram. This is a wonderful and rare set.
