Description: Here I have for sale a 1962 1st Oxford World's Classics edition of John Millington Synge's Four Plays and The Aran Islands in hardcover with beautiful pictorial dust jacket designed by Paul Hogarth. Includes Playboy of the Western World and others. The book is VG with bright blue boards and gilt. Tight binding and clean, unmarked pages. Slight pull at title page but does not impact integrity of binding because sewn, not glued. The dust jacket is gorgeous, one of OWC's best illustrated covers. A little sun-edging on flaps. No chipping or tears observed. The DJ is not price-clipped and is protected in mylar. Thank and see my other listings from Oxford, Everyman's, Modern Library and Modern Firsts.
