Description: “Jamaica” is a young girl ~29" doll created by Peggy Dey for her Heavenly Treasures company in 1997 (date on COA) and manufactured in her own company where she maintained intimate control of the manufacturing. Peggy Dey personally numbered, #1/250 and signed her full name on Jamaica's head behind the left ear. Having Number 1 in the edition is RARE and often sought after in collectibles.Jamaica is dressed in a period stylish dress with matching hat. The dress is made of beige and green plaid with a darker green velveteen middy style collar trimmed with ivory cording and a large ivory bow. The matching hat is made from the same beige and green plaid fabric with the darker green velveteen brim and a large ivory bow worn front and center. Under her dress is an ivory lace trimmed slip. She also wears short lace trimmed bloomers. On her feet are white lace trimmed socks and black patent Mary Jane shoes with black bow and small heart shaped cutouts. Please see the photographs as they are part of the description.Jamaica is young girl, not not yet into the teen years. She wears her curly black hair in an upswept style leaving the curls to sit prettily on top of her head. This is finished off with many curly tendrils around her face. Her hair has never been combed out or restyled. She has never been redressed. Jamaica's eyes are honey brown and appear to be glass. Jamaica has always been displayed together in low light in air conditioned, non smoking environment. She is in like new condition.
