Please check our store for more great finds! Today we are delighted to offer for sale a beautiful Royal Danish sterling compote by International Silver Company! This fantastic footed compote features a rounded tri-corner design that sweeps down into a shallow bowl perfect for candy or other bon bons. Crafted in the company's "Royal Danish" pattern, the three corners are done in a pierced, baroque style with Jensen-like acorns peeking out. A ribbed, tapering neck joins the bowl to a round, flat base, creating a low profile and visual interest. The piece is stamped "Royal Danish U.S.A. International Sterling T188" on the underside. Compote presents in very good vintage/antique condition, with minimal scuffing, wear and patina commensurate with age. Some tarnish is present, particularly around the stem. We only gave this a cursory polishing; you may wish to do more. Please review all photos. Fresh to the market from a Rhode Island estate!
