ILGWU Vintage Women’s D Esprit Faux Fur Jacket Size Lg Black And White

Description: This was made in the USA by the International Ladies Garments Workers Union. This jacket is a thick, warm, heavy-like-a-blanket, cozy, jacket. It has shoulder pads. It weighs 4 and a half pounds. I tried it on. I am a 5’10” tall man 170 pounds. Mens size large. I have broad shoulders. It fit me well. When I stand with my arms down, the sleeves fit well. With my broader shoulders, I stretched my arms out, the sleeves pulled up my wrists just a bit. The coat tail came exactly to my knees. For an older jacket, it is larger than the usual small frame “large”. This leads me to speculate that this was produced later during the ILGWU time frame. Possibly in the 90s. This measures from the collar to the bottom coat tail, 46 inches. From shoulder to shoulder, 22 inches. The pictures don’t do the puffy, furry, look justice. It has a look like a teddy bear plush. It uses a 2 hook and eye design fastener system to button up. The hooks were hard to find in the fuzzy mass of faux fur but they are there. It has a black and gray pattern that kinda resembles a cheetah. One of the pockets has a hole in it.
