Description: IBM ThinkPad T42 Intel Pentium M 1.7Ghz 256MB Ram 14.1" LCD for Parts This laptop has been tested to install and boot into Windows XP (operating system not included). Has scuffs and scratches. There is a crack on the bottom of the laptop (see pictures). There are also cracks on the palm rest that have been super glued (see pictures). A plastic clip underneath the F12 key is damaged, which is why it sits crooked, but it is still secure. The display to this unit had weird flickering issues and the backlight went out once while it was connected to another laptop. Since the screen has now been with this laptop, it has so far had none of those issues, except for some dead pixels on the top of the display (see pictures). That makes me think that the screen problems might have been caused by the motherboard in the other laptop, which also had its own problems. Still, that might not be why the screen had those issues. The laptop as of this listing is in working condition, but there is no guarantee as to how long that will last, which is why it is being sold as is for parts. The CMOS battery has been replaced.
