Description: "Heart Full of Horses" is a 180 page, 6"x8.5" hardcover written by Florence Fenley and published in 1975 by The Naylor Company (San Antonio). It's a posthumous collection of stories compiled by Belle Fenley Edwards, who inscribed and signed the first page. From the flap: "This memorable selection of twenty-two true short stories provides a splendid gallery for the quintessence of one of the finest folklorists to ever traverse The Great Southwest. She was a contemporary of Dobie and Bedicheck who packed along her portable typewriter as she tracked stories sequestered in the dusty glow of the ranch country she loved best. Her sharp observations and ever-sparkling wit were the hallmark of her two books and hundreds of feature stories that all in all exceeded a phenomenal two million words in print. She was Florence Fenley - who often said she learned to ride a horse before she could walk." In very good condition, in a good condition dust jacket. The jacket is age-toned, with a couple edge tears. The cover shows some wear to the title lettering and illustration. The compiler's inscription is the only internal mark, and the binding is firm.
