Every Haas HA5C rotary came with a threaded cover to protect the spindle threads when you are using a 5C collet inside the spindle, but it seems like everyone I know has lost the factory (black) cover. We make these new aluminum replacement covers and anodize them red so you can spot it right away and install it back on the spindle after removing the chuck. I also think the red just looks nicer.
