The benefit “nickel teflon” is unbeatable for Metal-on-metal contact and withstands a ton of friction, heat, and erosion that are greatly reduced compared with other surface finish applications. Here at Disengaged Inc, we have applied NP3 to many internal parts like connectors, Safeties, Strikers, and various other components since we started manufacturing for those very reasons. So, what exactly is NP3? It's a surface treatment for metals like steel and metal alloys that combines sub-micron particles of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), otherwise known as Teflon, with electroless nickel. In other words, it's your firearm’s first experience cooking with a “non-stick” pan. Because of the Teflon particles, carbon won't adhere to your components nearly as well, which amounts to your gun running smoother for longer durations. There’s no one selling a “Gen 5” Slide completion kit anywhere that I can find. These are OEM New Glock parts. We had to source them individually and they are all specifically Gen 5 part numbers. The problem is that everyone like Zev, Zaffiri, Lone Wolf, Salient Arms, Norsso etc and others are selling aftermarket “Stripped” Gen 5 Slides. But no one is selling the parts kits to complete them. So everyone is buying a Glock OEM Gen 5, stripping it, completing their aftermarket slide with the parts, then selling their OEM slide bare/stripped. The parts are in fact different from the Gen 1-4 & the Gen 5 and it’s noticeable. The rear coverplate is shaped differently, the safety is shaped like a 43 but is smaller than a 43, the Striker is rounded on the 5’s and flat on the 1-4’s. I had to buy 5 of each part to even get them and only needed 2. Oddly a stripped Gen 5 slide is sometimes cheaper than a 1-4 due to demand.Glock OEM Gen **5** Slide parts Kit VERY HARD to find! Gen5 slide fits on Gen4 . Condition is New. Slides for Gen 1-4 are either out of stock or ridiculously expensive. Many places have Gen 5’s available but they’re all bare without the internals. You can use a 5 slide on 4 or even a 3 with some modifications. Unfortunately no one sells a Gen 5 parts Kit until now.
