The stones are real sapphires from the Masoala mine in Madagascar, and the settings are genuine sterling silver, stamped 925.The sapphires are a dark blue. Each earring has a 5mm round cut stone, and together they add up to 1.5 cts. As with most genuine sapphires, these stones do have some inclusions. The stones are bezel set in the sterling silver. These earring measures 1 inch in length from the top of the sterling silver shepherd's hook to the bottom of the earring. The 925 silver mark is on the back of the bezel settings, and on the ear wires. These pretty earrings are designed for pierced ears.
