Description: The Boeing 757-200 was the original version of this aircraft. It first entered service with Eastern Airlines in 1983. Although designed for short and medium length routes, the 757-200 has since been used in a variety of roles, ranging from high frequency shuttle services to transatlantic routes. A total of 1,049 Boeing 757's have been delivered. The 757-300 is a stretch version of the 200. It has a fuselage stretch of 23 feet, enabling it to carry 43 more passengers. Northwest Airlines was a major United States airline founded in 1926. Northwest was merged with Delta Airlines in 2008 and continued to operate under its own name and brand until the integration of the two carriers was completed on January 31, 2010. This Northwest Airlines Boeing 757 with registration number N534US had its maiden flight on 10 October, 1988. It was delivered to Northwest Airlines on 21 October, 1988. After the 2008 merger of Northwest and Delta, the livery changed to Delta and this aircraft continued to provide service until it was ultimately scrapped (how very sad). Northwest originally had 61 Boeing 757's in service. They had 45 '200 series and 16 '300 series in service. This 1:400 scale Gemini Jets diecast reproduction of the Northwest Airlines Boeing 757-251 is a highly detailed, limited production model. It has a polished fuselage, realistic metal landing gear and excellent NWA graphics that was in use during the 1980's. All sales are final. Shipping to the USA only. NOTE: This will be a great addition to any Northwest Airlines 1:400 series aircraft collection or any aviation enthusiast's collection. This is the only one available.
